Day 7: Changsha Part 2

Today was our second full day in Changsha, and we started it out with a two hour tai chi lesson. We learned a little about the philosophy behind tai chi, and then got to learn some basic moves ourselves. We had the privilege of being taught by one of the most well known tai chi masters in Hunan province, and it was very interesting to learn about tai chi, and then actually do it ourselves. After the tai chi lesson we had lunch, and then we headed off to Hunan museum. Hunan museum is famous for having a very well preserved mummy, the oldest and most well preserved in existence thanks to the unique soil conditions in Hunan. We got to see the exhibit detailing the excavation and discovery of the body, and then saw the actual body too. We left the museum and then had free time to spend with our host students. I went with my host student to a restaurant, and then to visit a cat cafe. To end the night we went to a Chinese supermarket and bought many Chinese snacks.
